It was a great day today.  Tom was the escort for Rob, as he attended the Lubbock temple for the first time.  We were so impressed with the San Angelo ward, also, as the bishop, elder's quorum president and many of the elders, plus other ward members attended.  Besides Rob, there was an older couple who were endowed and then sealed together.  We are very proud of Rob.

We had a wonderful time in Hawaii on the Big Island.  The Hilton Waikoloa Resort was lovely with lots of things to do.  We swam and caught a lot of sun, we snorkeled and watched the humpback whales as they were just arriving from Alaska for the winter.  We visited the Volcano National Park, and walked through the rain forest.  We drove around the entire island and attended church at the Kona chapel.  We enjoyed lots and lots of beautiful scenery, plus lots and lots of lava landscape.  The direct flight from Dallas wasn't too bad either.  Returning home, we hurried and decorated the house and the tree, so now the hustle and bustle of Christmas can begin.  Paradise was a nice way to start the holidays.  Aloha.

Thanksgiving holiday was filled with lots of family and food.  Tom smoked 6 turkeys and lots of jerky to share with family and friends.  We also roasted a turkey and turkey breast for the Big Day.  I have eaten enough turkey to last until Christmas.  But who can turn down a little turkey with cranberry sauce?  Colton flew out to stay the week.  I think he had a fun time playing football with the boys and hanging out with Zack, Seth, and Dalton.  We sure enjoyed having him here.

Halloween Fun

We had a great Halloween with some of our family.  Jason and Bob's families joined us at the church for Trunk or Treat.  Tom served up hotdogs to everyone, while I passed out candy from the car with Katie and Dorothy.  I forgot to have anyone take my photo, so decided to show off my new entry cabinet that I can decorate to match the season of the year, and show off my costume.  Loved the glasses.

Soccer games in the morning before the Air Show.

Tom and I attended the CAF Airshow today where we met up with Bob and boys.  Teena and her kids came a little later.  It was a beautiful day and we loved the show.  Rex is the cameraman for the shots.  He loved taking the pictures.  I think he may get a camera for Christmas.

JULIE'S BAPTISM

We have had the privilege of getting to know Chris and Julie Baker, recent graduates from Texas Tech.  Both graduating with degrees in Chemical Engineering.  Julie has been investigating the Church and attending the Gospel Principles class I teach on Sunday.  She asked Tom to baptize her last week, Saturday, September 29.   We were all very excited.
