Just a little update on Tom's hunting successes.  Besides the Zebra, he now has a Gembuck, Buff, Impala, and Eland.  He and Ty came across a big Bull Elephant and it was exciting to see it in the wild and not the zoo.  Ty says that it is the ultimate zoo experience.

Katie celebrated her birthday this evening.  It was a surprise that Bob pulled off with her friends, their husbands and kids, and ofcourse, our family.  Bob took her to dinner at Wall Street while I tended the boys.  When they came back to pick them up, the house was filled with friends and food.  It was a fun evening for all of us.  Happy Birthday, Katie.

Tom wasn't in Zimbabwe 3 hours and he had shot a zebra.  Can't believe it.  He also saw a lion that had just killed an elan, and was enjoying his dinner.  This place sounds like the ultra zoo.

Tom is on his way back to Africa for another Cape Buffalo.  One isn't enough?  Where will this one go?

JULY BIRTHDAYS

This was a busy weekend for birthdays.  Tom's was on Saturday and Cortlynn's was on Sunday.  We spent the day at Bethany's house and celebrated Cortlynn's #2 birthday.  She is loving all her Dora gifts, including a doll that sings Happy Birthday and Dora's backpack.  We are sure going to miss this family when they move to Virginia in a week.

Melynda celebrated her birthday on the 17th, and Katie celebrates on the 31st.  My dad turned 89 on July 10th.  We also celebrate 2 wedding anniversaries in July.  No wonder I am on a sugar high.

Backyard Driving

Our granddaughter, Cortlynn, is the newest driver in the family.  She is 2 years old and a firecracker, to say the least.  It's good that her grandfather keeps the battery charged.

The Lubbock Temple

We had a very special weekend with our son, Steve, and his wife, Melynda.  Melynda received her endowments and she and Steve were sealed as a couple.  The sweetest part was when Grace Elizabeth was brought in to the sealing room and they became an eternal family.  We feel so blessed to have been able to share this special day with them.
